Hey guys its been awhile! So, starting a new build, I've been drawing and designing this pit for awhile now and decided it was time to pony up and get goin on it. Cook surface is about 500 square inches, not really sure what size the propane tank is, scored it off craigslist for $30, blasted it, looks pretty good all cleaned up! great size for what I want to do with it, which is make a small trailer pit, the pit itself will be parallel to the tailgate of my truck up by the hitch with two stainless prep tables on running the length of the trailer on either side. Anyways on to the cooker itself, obviously reverse flow, I like the water pans in my vertical cookers so I oversized the firebox to allow for a water pan, that way I get all the benefits of the drippings hitting the tray in the pit and I still get my steam Smile firebox is semi insulated, and I cant remember where I saw the collector design by the smoke stack but I like the idea from an airflow standpoint. Worked on the ole girl about half the day on Saturday and heres what I have so far, will have stainless water tray, two stainless grates, stainless drip pan, and stainless grate in the firebox for my wood. this little bastard should be crazy efficient. and of course I'm gonna go nuts on the paint job. Should be done in the next couple weeks, let me know what y'all think

Not sure where you saw that exhaust collector design either, but it is the same style Franklin uses...so maybe that is where you saw it?

Excellent build. I like the insulated firebox. Keep the work going...I can't wait to see it in action!
