I know it’s been probably discussed before, but times change.

Looking for a new thermometer. Want something I can put a probe in meat and let stay as well as ability to put probes to read smoker temps in different spots. 2 probes would be ok, but prefer 4. I don’t know if wireless probes are possible, but would be nice. Bluetooth to phone would be great, but not mandatory. Would like to spend around $100.

Any suggestions?

Here is a link to a product that K.A.M. is testing. You can check this out and see if it fits the bill.

I have never used a remote thermocouple, but if I were in the market, I would go straight for the Thermoworks SMOKE with the wifi gateway.

The Smoke by itself is within your budget. It only has two probes, and that would be ok by me. The temp only tells me it's time to start probing for tenderness...therefore I don't need a probe in every piece of meat on the pit.

The wifi gateway is your budget killer (it sends the combo package close to $190), but you can check your pit anywhere when you download the app on your phone. You can go to work and keep an eye on your pit! You can go for a walk and keep an eye on your pit! You can go to Sam's and keep an eye on your pit! Now that's great technology.
