New to this and was wondering what the purpose of the "diving board" is? _________________ 18.5" WSM & 22.5" WSM

It's for diving off...Duh!
Actually it's for putting cooked food on while cooking something else, so when you are cooking something and you need to hold it hot, before it goes back in the pan to finish. _________________ Here's a change Robert.

Just read this thread on the new disco.
I'm new as well, but I purchased a new 22" discada from Southwest Disk.
Excellent disk, glad I bought it, and it's owned & operated by US Military Vets.
But what I noticed in this tread was the talk of a diving board, what is that for? _________________ Papa Mmm Mow Mow BBQ Team

Just a little easier than trying to hold your food high on the sides while your cooking in the center hot spot. _________________ RF Smoker
