|
|
We started a tradition a few years ago of having a Christmas Eve breakfast. This year we had my daughter and son and law and my mother and stepfather over for breakfast.
We had a simple breakfast with plenty to eat. My wife fried some sausage and bacon.
Sausage in the skillet.
Bacon and Sausage on the platter.
My daughter brought the country ham.
I made some sausage gravy.
I also made some scrambled eggs in cheese and cooked them in the bacon drippings.
Threw in a pan of biscuits.
Plated up.
We exchanged a few gifts after breakfast. I made a UDS for my son in law a couple of months back so I gave it to him this morning.
Thanks for looking and Merry Christmas to all. _________________ Chargriller

Thanks Kevin, Your advice on the UDS was spot on and helped a lot.
Thanks Rick. I actually went ahead and seasoned the UDS before I give it to him. I put about 6 pounds of Kingsford in it and ran it up to 400 and then pulled it back down to 260 and it held for about 4-5 hours with very minor adjustments so it should serve him well. I have been after him to join the ring and post some cooks so we will see what the new year brings.
Thank you Beertooth. It is a great tradition to start and breakfast is fast and easy and everyone likes breakfast so its a win for everyone. _________________ Chargriller
