|
|
Ok so not new to the TSR but had to create a new acct. Because i am an idiot and could not remember my old info to save my life lol.
So heres my question. What are some "must have/see/eat BBQ spots along the way? Any tips would be appreciated! I am going on a cruise out of galveston TX in november for my 40th and once we return we are taking a little road trip from galveston tx, then to new orleans la, then up through misissippi, up into memphis tn, then nashville, and over to Gatlinburg tn. To spend thanksgiving with the family. I have never been to any of these areas and know nothing about the local "spots" so i am looking forward to experiencing some new flavors and sights!
Thanks in advance! |

It's not BBQ, but you MUST stop and eat at Berry's Seafood in Florence MS! It's the most awesome food in the whole state. It's a buffet too so all you care to eat! Catfish, Shrimp, Tomato Gravy and Biscuits ..everything is awesome! You can't miss it. It's right on Hwy 49 and there is a giant I mean GIANT sized Cross out front and the building looks like a 6 story barn!

Stop by Tee Wayne's Cajun cooking in Gonzales, LA. It is about 45 minutes from NOLA. Tee Wayne is a fellow bbq competitor and has a fantastic restaurant. Stop by Paul's Restaurant in Ponchatoula, LA. Make sure you get something made out of strawberries. Well known for that.
Let us know how your trip goes...especially the restaurants. _________________ Weber Performer 22"
