Other than Snake River Farms, is there anywhere else to order Wagyu Brisket or Choice Briskets online. It is very hard for me to get competition quality brisket around here.

You can contact Strube ranch Cory.

Big Poppa's used to sell their product but I am not sure if they still do.

Go find yourself an old fashioned butcher, you don't have to buy Wagyu to win most local competitions, (it's nice for sure, but if you get choice or prime CAB, you can get some pretty good meat).

I would buy Wagyu if money was no object, but I've cooked way more choice CAB at competitions, and taken everything from last to first place Brisket.

An old fashioned butcher will do a lot of the work of finding good meat for you, and may suggest other meat sources that they know provide a better product, than is normally available.

Thanks KAM, I will check them out. SoEzzy, The stores around here will not order choice briskets. The closest place I can get it is over two hours driving time. Once I get a deep freezer I will start getting them by the case, but for now I just need somewhere to get a good consistent brisket. I have been successful with Select briskets, but I like choice better.

I hear you, I've found generally that the smaller places tend to try harder!

I am thinking that maybe the way to go with creekstone. By the time I spend the gas going out of town, I could save time and money having that shipped to my door. $55 choice plus 40 in gas. I hate driving anymore than I have to during competition weeks.

If you order the creekstone in the notes specify that it is for competition and you would like a thick flat. We order two weeks in advance and hold the brisket in the fridge. This way if we have a loose packer or the brisket is not up to snuff we have time to make changes.

I vend far more than I compete, but can testify with Chris that a decent CAB Prime or Choice can bring a GC as good as a $$Wagu$$!
I have sold my vending briskets [ raw ] to competitors who have cooked against some of the top dog's in the country, and won brisket and GC!
Then again, so has my rub Wink
Best I have done brisket was 12th [ and I was ashamed of the turn-in, would have chopped it vending ] , which tells me its more the cook than the beef! I may be wrong Embarassed Embarassed

I agree Mr. Tony. It's just the stores here in town don't carry choice briskets, nor will they get them for me. (Walmart and a couple of chain stores). Once I get my deep freezer I will start buying cases of choice or CAB. I just want to be able to order the briskets online so I don't have to spend so much time driving.

We cook Creekstones primes for the consistency in the meat. I have cooked IBP and swift primes with less than stellar results (They were top five briskets but not to my liking.) While you have to know how to cook a good comp brisket you cannot take something that wasn't meant to be and make it happen. The texture of the meat is just not there in some briskets. Choice is a guess on finished product at best when cooking them so for me when the top brisket payday is 500.00/1000.00 I want to go in with something I know has a chance.

I have used Heartbrand Beef briskets and loved them.

Check out Premier Proteins. Too me their briskets are better than SRF and cheaper. I had several top 10's with their stuff this year including a 1st.
