Im in March or April pending work schedule but should not be a problem. Id push heavy for March because when we all went in April a few years back, it was mid 90's on the Saturday we spent there. Tired (up to early~flying~up to late) beers and tater whiskey (hence up to late) and the heat wore all our butts out! Damn good time though Cool

OK, just wanting make sure. One other thing - When do the mudbugs start appearing down there? I don't see them here until late May/early June (probably because all them dang Coon-Asses are eating them up and all we get are the ones that can crawl fast enough to escape to Georgia Laughing ). It sure would be nice to have a boil to go along with the festivities, but I ain't eating no Chinese bugs Wink Laughing

In March/April they are in full swing Bugs. The price is what makes them hard for me to swallow. We are 20 miles from the rice farms and still pay over 2.00 lb. They do not start a decline until late June.

The Poll is closed (I don't know how to really close it, but..)We have a winner! Sometime in March/April of 2016! My apologies for those that are unable to make it during this time frame. I will get back to you shortly with more information. Thanks everyone.

You can still come to the shindig even if you were unable to vote just the time frame has been settled....no more discussion on that.

That's cheap. I pay a minimum of $3/lb and usually closer to $4/lb.

If you bring some Critter Dust (the absolute best BUGS seasoning, IMO), I'm sure k.a.m. will let you drop by Wink Laughing Laughing

Never sure on my plans, probably just wing it and show at the last minute. No concerns on my lodgings, I figure to just set up a tent in my truck bed and park in the back yard out of sight of the neighbors. Shocked Laughing

Nope Nada gonna happen. The Dodge is not allowed in the back yard. The last time that happened I had twin Pitts to fill. Wink Very Happy Laughing

Ok gents I have spoken with the Boss in Vidor and need to slow your roll until sometime in October. That's when we will announce the shindig weekend dates. Just need time to deconflict the calendar. Stand by.
