Thank You Cory. Very Happy Dennis's new motor home is really nice he and Vikki cooked next to us this past weekend We enjoyed their company. Very Happy The cooker will not be ready for Marksville and we will most likely not cook it this year. We are starting fresh in February I have a lot going on in the Fall and need to get things finished.

I had time today to get the doors mounted on the cooker. I went with the newer style hinges on this cooker.
Thank you Troy for letting me borrow X2's hinges. Very Happy

Very nice fit on the doors k.a.m. and the hinges look great. I like 'em. Very Happy Are you going to counterweight the doors?

Nice fit up on the doors. Very Happy Thank goodness for that. I don't even want to know what size BFH is required to pull in a .375" wall cooker door.

Thank You brutus1964. Very Happy

Thank You ZippyMSBS. Very Happy

Thank You Flyingj. Very Happy The doors are not that heavy Flyingj so no counterweights on these. Smile

Thank You Mike. Very Happy The hinges were extras that Troy had stowed away. He has crossed over to flat doors and asked me if I would like to use them. Smile

Thank You Mike. Very Happy One short handle 6 lb. maul along with a 20 ton jack and 3/8" chain works well Brother. Smile

i second that. looking back through the thread......

i guess it all makes sense now....have a trailer....cut it to shreds....reinforce the holy heck out of what is left....install one heavy heap of steel to pull down the road at 70+ mph. all things known i would have done the same thing i guess.

Thank You deere green. Very Happy She is a work in progress. I may name her after Mr. Tony's and call her Scrapper 2.0 because she is wearing out my scrap pile. Smile Laughing

as always, beautiful work. I have really enoyed (and learned ALOT) reading your posts over the years K.A.M., and this build is no exception. Really like the hinges too....not that there was anything wrong with your past hingework....but these just somehow seem to really kick it up a notch!

Thank You auto5man. Very Happy This style hinge seems to be the norm now. When Troy offered the extra sets I was very happy to try them out. Smile

Here is the 2" drain.

The finished firebox door.

The exhaust cap.

The cooking grates.

She's looking great k.a.m. Very Happy , I really like the drain valve extension. I remember seeing it on one of your other builds. I guess it's okay to copy ideas from yourself. Laughing Wink . Looking forward to seeing more.

Today I got the door stops on and the handles for the cooker doors. I also got one of the digital therm trays mounted.
Here are the door stops.

Here is my low key jig for my handles.

Here is the shelf for the digital therm on the left side.

The cooker is looking good. I am looking forward to seeing it all painted up and seasoned in for cooking.
