Last weekend I cooked a pig for the Embassy Cigar Lounge here outside the back gate at Quantico. I am friends with the owners they are good guys and we have smoked many a cigar together while laughing and enjoying ourselves.

They were celebrating their one year anniversary so they had a two-day "Havana Nights" celebration. They had a distillery there giving out samples, a micro brewery giving out samples, a guy that makes tactical knives, the Alec Bradley cigar rep, and Nick Perdomo, Cuban foods, live music, a putting challenge, a table for donating cigars to those currently deployed and happy hour prices both days. It was a blast.

The Embassy Cigar lounge is part of the Globe and Laurel restaurant. The G&L is a USMC landmark. The owner Major Rick Spooner (ret) is an USMC legend. Check him out on wiki.

Inside the G&L is a virtual living USMC museum. There is stuff everywhere.

The ceiling in one of the bars. The G&L is also a huge supporter of Law Enforcement. These patches are from law enforcement organizations all over the world.

My phone was dying and my picture taking skills are limited.

While I was there these guys came running by.

In the lounge.

The covered porch out back of the lounge. This where the band and all the vendors set up. I wish my phone hadn't died I would have had some great pics.

Representing!

Coffee and cigars...all a man needs!

My phone had died by the time the pig was done so I got this from a friend. It was a great time!

Looks like a cool place and your piggy looked perfect. I also like the sign on the door - "No cigarette smoking please" Laughing
