So I have been smoking for longer than I expected to live on everything from a ECB to a home built brick hog cooker, to several different offsets. Suddenly I have the financial resources to buy the pit that I want instead of the one I can afford. I have no plans to cook commercially, but do cook for family, (5-Cool regularly, and cook for groups of 30 to 60 frequently. I can use the cookers I have for the smaller cooks but am interested in what you think is my best bet for the rest. I don't know how to set up a poll so just asking as a general question. Thanks for any input folks...

What question do you want for the poll, PM me a list of the questions and options, and I'll put the whole thing together for you!

jess, I would give Paul Shirley of Shirley Fabrication a call. He and Tyler are building a lot of new styles including squared cookers that hold a lot of meat. Their work is second to none in my opinion.

I have over thirty years in the Fabrication business so I can honestly say I am qualified to make that statement biker.chef. I am not quite sure what your qualifications are to doubt my statement but please feel free to share them with us while you are being bored. Rolling Eyes

Kevin, settle down he was just yucking it up.

It was a play on words... "surely you're not serious". Kind of like the movie Airplane.

See this for a reference

Put this Laughing at the end of ".... sorry I'm bored" and maybe this old fart would see it otherwise.

Wow.

KAM I have a lot of respect for you. You've been very helpful over the past few years and I have benefited from you advice.

If I may explain. I am at home these days convalescing.
Most days I can't do much and browsing a couple of forums is all I manage.
Sorry, I'm not trying to lay heavy trip on you, just wanted to explain "being bored".
