I charge $40 for a 12# average bird in a pan wrapped with foil. If its not picked up by 11am Thanksgiving morning, customers are told - you dont get it - cuz I'm off to have Thanksgiving with my son 2 hrs away [ yes, I bring it to him Wink ]

An ad I got emailed from Big Bob Gibsons site.

There Turkeys are 40 buks for a 12-14 lb bird.

Sounds right in line with Tonys price.

So my price is pretty much the same figured different, 12 cooks down to about 8. Smile 40 bucks for that here too.

Mine go out whole, if someone wants a big bird, its usually pretty obvious which one it is [ and up-charged ] and from there its first come first serve size wise....The only time I have weighed them after is for pulled / sliced by the pound and have found about 50% yield. I figure that 12# bird as 6 people Wink but, I am a hearty turkey eater to say the least!! Cool
A pound of turkey, some of my corn bread/sausage stuffing [ even though I dont stuff it ] and smashed taters all smothered in smokie dripping gravy[ I smoke them is disposable pans ], a small pile of traditional green bean casserole and a good football game! Now THATS something to be thankful for all on its own!!!! Very Happy
