I`ve got a million dollar policy through Auto-Owners Insurance. $348.00 yearly. Find a local insurance company in your area that has them. $2000 is way too much. |

Jeff T the 2k was not for liability. Progressive would not cover just my trailer they wanted to write my truck as commercial then they would cover my trailer.
My first call was to some local companies but they have not come up with much that's why I asked the forum because of all the info you can get from the people on it and I will contact Auto-owners when my liability needs to renew
Insuremytrailer.com quote was $450 for 1 million of liability and $650 for my trailer.
Flipprogram wants a little more info before they send a quote.

I also have Auto-Owners [ small world Jeff!] I recently changed to them from accuity [ I think..] 3 trucks [ '09 full coverage, 2 cube vans liability plus whatever thats called if I hit a deer etc.] , 2 mil liability - 1 mil per occurrence, trailer, equipment, loss of income etc etc etc for under $2400.00 / yr! - about the same as accuity was - I only changed because my agent changed jobs! Just added second cube van - it was just over $450/yr...
Your being asked to bend over and aint being kissed!!
I simply went through a broker / independent agent type company. _________________ Money Maker

after thinking about it a little...your truck pulls your trailer, so I can see why the same co. wants them both! You may need to put them both together, or buy stock in Vaseline
Having it all bundled together will save you $ either way I am confident!
That hitting the deer thing is collision... it took a couple cups of coffee, and my wife, to get my brain going this morning.... _________________ Money Maker

Insurance is not cheap in S. FL. One hr. north and it cost 1/3 less. I will be contacting an Auto-Owner agent Monday I want a policy by Tuesday because I'm going to Ga. Wednesday to pick up my trailer that I bought thru SLE _________________ Lang 60

But if you swerve to miss a deer & hit a tree..that's collision, & a charged loss! so...hit the deer! _________________ This stuff ain't rocket science,,,Great Gramma cooked on a horizontal-partitioned wood smoker every day! |

First day I took out my new [to me ] cube van, pulling trailer, I had a very nice buck run in front of me....hit the brakes, heard him hit bumber and heard his legs crush under the drivers side front tire [ right under my feet ] ...Not a scratch on the truck, but the darn thing drug himself into the swampy woods....Zero damage to truck, but no meat in the freezer either....No ins. claim either!!! _________________ Money Maker
