Hello all been a while since I came by. A busy spring/summer at the day job fixin the havic that a recent hail storm created & vending the fairs & festivals that we booked.
But.... I thought I'd stop by and see what's new in the vending world around your neck of the woods?
I have a gig coming up in September that we will be sharing with another BBQ vender and I want to try to increase pulled pork sales. We do great with the brisket sandwiches, nachos and tacos. Pulled pork trails along but not as well as brisket. So....
Is there any new PP snacks/concession ideas that you all have been selling that you'd like to share?

Pretty simple Bro - run out of beef....LOL...I did yesterday.....sold about 3 1/2 cases of pork after going thru about 3 cases of brisket an 2 cases of chicken [ sold out of both of them first! ] Run the pork as a "special" at the regular price Wink ????? I sometimes add "cost effective" but good sauce to our re-heated PP and run it as a special $1 / cheaper than regular sammie - thing is, the sauce soaks in and stretches the pork out [ it swells up with sauce ] to make it MORE profitable than un-sauced!

Meat, cheese sauce, japs n onion with a pinch of slaw on the side in a 2.5# boat...I tell people were rednecks, not Mexicans when they ask for sour cream, pico etc!

We were offering a new product at a vend this weekend. We called it a Lone Star Meat Monster. It was a smoked brat in a bun, topped with diced onion, sauced pulled pork and shredded cheese. Messy to eat but they sold well.

We used to sell one called the monster dog. It was a 1/4 lb hot dog with the bun, topped with pulled pork, brisket chili, mac-n-cheese and slaw. We sold a ton of them.

I like fries with bbq rub on top.

Sauce on the side

Just my 2 cents.

Change of plans...
The event that prompted this thread has been dropped for a bigger & better event! Which is great news for us!
I reciever an email invite to vend a farm aid concert being put on for a local farmer over in Neligh Ne.
"Harvest the Hope" staring Willie Nelson & Neil Young! Sept. 27th.
Looks like I'll be keeping it simple with sandwiches and maybe BBQ nachos. Super excited about this one! Wish me luck all!
