I found this forum researching a new build. It is AWESOME. I spent several hours browsing on the first day. I work construction and am a pack rat. On a whim last year I cut 2 old water heaters up and started welding. My experiment turned out ok but not reverse flow. I plan on adding those pics to show my hillbilly backyard engineering. But more on that later.
I have started my second smoker and will post pics along the way. Picked up some 20 inch well casing for scrap but, I kept it. I have a pretty good plan and going slow to think options and function through but I'm sure I'll have questions. The biggest question so far is how am I going to make a 400+ smoker movable? Started out with wheelbarrow wheels I have, then go kart frame, With engine? I just thought about an old gearbox from a rear tine tiller. I'm starting to ramble, so enough of that.
You guys are great. Not a bunch of grouchy snoods like in some other sites. Looking forward to sharing.

Welcome to the ring JD7167, looking forward to seeing some pics of your cooks and following your cooker project. Smile
Make a steerable front axle and tongue. You can either pull her around by hand or fix it to where it hooks to a riding mower. Very Happy
