The gas on my 187 won't shut off when the trigger is released. Normally I hear a "click" of a solenoid when I release. That doesn't happen. Thoughts or suggestions? Would AirGas work on it? Or is it something I can do myself? Thanks!! _________________ Pair...progress

Salt creek,I swear I replied to this the other day. ???? . I think you my have a wire loose to your switch in your gun. If so when you unplug the mig gun the solenoid will release. |

I will give that a try, but could the line be clogging if it got dirt in it? _________________ Pair...progress

It could be. I would check it with a multimeter |

Blazer-
The welder is very inconsistent with the problem. When it is doing it, I can shut the gas off, turn the welder off and it still has a humm noise to it. I unplugged the gun line from the welder and the humming continues. Any other suggestions besides the gun? _________________ Pair...progress

Salt creek, that pretty much narrows it down to the solinoid. If you tear into it yourself be very carfull of what you touch. The capacitors in there will hold a charge even when not plugged in. |
