I was browsing through the local meat market last night looking for a nice Brisket to cook and came across some Loin Backs on sale. Not the best deal in the world, but this place is has got some "nice cuts"... So, Baby Backs it is. I have not had them in a while!

Also, when I woke up this morning, I had a little "pre-cook present". This makes # 12 I have relocated. Little bastardos...

Smoking the Baby Backs with Cherry and Pineapple juice in the water pan. I'm about Apple'd and Pecan'd out! LOL! They went on around noon. I'll be wrapping shortly.

I was out and around cleaning the gutters on the house and cleaning my truck in between the cook. Got a little carried away... Oh well... Still turned out awesome. Surprisingly awesome!

Nice looking bones there ShrimpPimp.....I set out traps all summer long for squirrels....
I think I dropped off just over 30 of them last year ....bring to job sites i work at and let the little rats go.
They keep digging up my garden an had some rip the roof up a couple years back.
I cant get them all but I can sure weed out the population in my yard .

Good looking ribs ya got there SP!

I hate them damn coons Twisted Evil They get in my trash cans. A couple of months ago I caught one trying to open my shed doors and took a shot at it with a .40 cal (I missed Embarassed ). I really wanted to make a hat with the little bastard.

As far as the tree rats go, I use one of These to cull the herd Laughing . I sit on my back porch and pop away Laughing

Cool looking ribs there ShrimpPimp. I don't set up traps for critters but if I ever did catch a raccoon, I'd sit his ass in front of me and I'd make him watch me eat all those ribs while washing it all down with a couple of brewskies. Man would I ever like to see the expression on his face. Wink

This one is actually in Melbourne. We live down towards Sebastian Inlet. I was up there visiting friends and dropped in to have a look. I tell you what though... It would be worth a trip off I-95 just to come check this place out! They have got all kinds of off the wall stuff in there. I went to the store of Babcock St.

I thought about making a movie of the inside of that place just because it was so cool.

I have been trying to find bulk cheese. Pettys offered to order me a 9 pound "wheel of Gouda". $72 though... Still pricing stuff based on what others have recommended.

Here is a link to their website:

Good looking ribs TheShrimpPimp. Very Happy
Maybe you need to relocate them a little further away they may be walking back home lol. I am usually good for about two or three every six months figuring as I relocate them new ones gradually take their place. I have never had that many in a session. Shocked

Oh... They're not walking back, trust me! Most of them get driven 10 miles away, deep in the woods. The violent ones get put down. I have had 2 go psycho on me.

We live on the edge of thousands of acres of Stick Marsh and flood plain, is part of the problem. Driving around the South end of our neighborhood you will see 10 to 15 crossing a street all at once in "Broad Daylight"! They have become a real problem!

I have become an expert at trapping them however. All you need is a "shiny stainless steel" bowl of water and something to cover the trap trigger. I have even caught them with wadded up pieces of tin foil!

Here is how I have the trap set for tonight.
