thanks Kam and the same to you and your family.
well i tried to weld my band around the disk today and Oh dam what a PITA,,,the outer part of the disk is so easy to burn thru. with my eyes its so hard to keep the heat on the 1/8 but oh well i will get it done and get friendly with the grinder again. I just love how yours turned out |

Thank You Bobco785. If your disc has a worn very sharp edge take it down a bit with a tiger disc so you have something to weld to. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Bobco785, I get my hose from academy as well. It has an adjustment knob on it. I've done enough cooks now that I rarely move it and just turn the tank on and off.

They also have it in a rubber hose for a few bucks cheaper but I just like the looks of the braided stainless. I get my stuff at Academy, but it's only a few miles away and I also like to see if they have any Lodge cast iron on sale while I'm there I'm sure you could order the parts from a lot of different places.
You should take a look at Kevin's dual board build for Debbie. He ran the adjustment valve on the stand and it turned out nice. Its a nice way to go if you don't want to have to go to the tank to adjust your flame.

I'm originally from Ark City (shhhh, don't tell anyone), born and raised, lived in Wichita a little bit before moving to Springfield in 94 and haven't regretted a day since. We visit occasionally, have family/friends in Hutch, El Dorado, Wichita, Derby and AC. Most come here to visit though, the lakes are much better in MO.
I'll be looking for more updates. _________________ X2 Finished Build

Thanks Troy for the info and link. I have seen that build of Kevin before but never looked at it like i did now, but the first time i looked at it that was before i got Disco Fever. Now i see a Disco stand coming in the near future. MY material stock doesnt stay like Kevin's mine comes from a few blocks from a scrap Iron Yard . Been there so much some of them know me on a kind of personal level. we have a local large farm Agri company that throw so much away. im able to get all most anything i want there...one day i heard they recycle between $200 -$300k of scrap to them a month i get drops of all gauges around 3x5 . sometimes i have picked up between 800 to 1000 lbs at a time for .25 a lb...one day i was able to talk the lady behind the counter down to .20 lbs....lol but thanks again....i think i got just the valve for this project...just need to get the burner |

Bob, from a fabricators point of view, sounds like you have a gold mine right down the street Take them down a disco full of lunch sometime and you might be surprised how much stuff you get at a good price! Couple slabs of ribs and my sandblaster talks prices on a whole new level _________________ X2 Finished Build

Hello Bobco 785,
I have two of those burners. One worked great and one didn't. Seems there was some China matter blocking the gas coming out to the valve to the burner. Works great now!
