I need to have a BBQ logo designed. Any help directing me to resources is appreciated.

1. Who is good at the traditional whimsical cartoon look?
2. Who would you recommend for a more formal, professional design?

Trying to decide between the two and can go either way.

Thanks.

ObscureDave, we were very pleased with Patrick Carlson of http://www.hotspotgraphics.com/
Patrick is very easy to work with.
This is our logo.

Another vote for Patrick. Great guy and very creative God given talent!

This is on the back of the shirt.

And he made this one for the front. He also made us a black and white to use on dark shirts.

I'll throw out another vote for Patrick. In addition to doing great work, he's also supported us with a donation of his services on another of occasions for various fundraisers we've done.

He's a good guy who produces excellent work.

Another vote for Patrick -- great guy to work with and very fast. I gave him a rough idea for our design and he had the first rough draft done in about 30 minutes. I think we were done with all changes and I had the final files in about 2 hours. You'll get the vector-based Illustrator files so you can use them to get all sorts of items with your logo. I got license plates for our vehicles. I had to do some editing on the logo to take out some of the detail to have an embroidery design done for a golf shirt and hoodie jacket. We also had banners made as well.

99designs.com is a great way to go as well, I had a logo designed with them. They take your theme and concept and post it, designers all over the world look at it and decide to enter your contest or not. I had about 30 designers working on mine giving me a multitude of different logos to choose from. You are able to give input on what you like and things you would like changed. You then decide which design you like best and they turn the design over to you in multiple formats.

I think I am going to take a good look at this... thinking about taking a look at newer logos for banner and t shirts for my store...

i go on a pool forum and a few years ago a guy on there asked anyone to design something and he would pick the one he wanted and pay them.. worked out well for him..this should reach a bigger market for sure
