This year at Turkeyfest, we decided to enter the Dutch oven dessert. I have cooked in them as a scout but that was many years ago. I pulled out the 10 and 12 inchers and reseasoned them in preparation. I got 2 of my old UDS's from 55gallon drums and cut the bottom 1/3rd out to cook in. This was a good wind block and was needed because the wind picked up. My wife picked the two desserts and my 5yo helped her make everything. I was in charge of fire and cooking. We had an apple cake and banana s'mores. I thought they came out awesome. We didn't place but having my son get excited about cooking with daddy at cookoffs was worth it. I forgot how much I liked dutch oven cooking. I am going to be doing a lot more and plan on winning next time.

My camper is so big I have to get two spots. When you have two entries for brisket, ribs, chicken, beans, chili, turkey, margaritas, and dutch oven, and you are a one man team, you kinda don't have time for pics.
