While we were visiting my son in Ames Iowa for his birthday, we decided to try Jethros BBQ in Altoona.

I consider brisket to be the benchmark of bbq, if they get that right, the other stuff is usually good to. Smile I ordered a brisket dinner with sides of beans and slaw. The brisket showed a good smoke ring and was very moist and perfectly tender, not falling apart, but it seperated with a slight tug. The flavor was also excellent and went well with the house made sauces on the table.

The rest of the group had various sandwhiches and everyone was very pleased. Five of us ate for $38.00 Shocked Laughing A great value for this quality of food, we will definitely be back
