Well I finally pulled the trigger on an electric grinder. I have been following instructions on here from members and have been having GREAT success on the past 3 batches. Yes.... I know I still need to post pictures.....

Last week I made 10 pounds of summer sausage and hand ground everything through my great grandmothers hand grinder. THAT was enough for me.... On top of that I had recieved 2 awards at work that covered the cost of a new grinder 100% Very Happy So no money out of my pocket.

I went with the LEM #8. Overkill for what I am doing??? ABSOLUTELY... but they were running the #8 on sale for $279 from $329 so I couldnt resist. I liked the ability to have different attachments for it also so hopefully it will serve me a lifetime. Plus LEM is about 20 minutes from my house so if there IS any problems I can take it directly to the factory....

Heres a link....

Hell yeah!

Very cool man. I have been wanting to get a good grinder.

I spent over $200 on my stuffer, so I am willing to spend a bit on a good grinder as well.

Keep us posted on how it works for you.

I'm particularly interested in how this grinder works as a stuffer with the "big bite " feature.

I have a Lem #8 bigbite auger and used it this past weeknd to make some breakfast sausage. The grinder is awesome for grinding meat a littl overkill for my needs at the moment but might grow into it.

As for the stuffer not impressed seemed to mince the meat and was a PIA to get a good flow going.
