I promise not to Teleking you as long as you do everything exactly the way I tell you to, since I'm always right and everything I say is absolute.
Id like to join but I just died from eating a primarily poisonous pack of pickled peppers, probably caused by partaking in poor pickle preparation practices. My death could have been prevented if I were a perpetually pretentious perfectionist instead of a partly pooped poper practicing primitive pickling propaganda.

I guess I can step out of the closet just this once (but then I'm quickly jumping back in and locking the door).
When it comes to pickling (I really only do cukes and peppers), I use the cold pack in a hot jar, hot brine, simmering lid method. I have been using this method (and eating the pickles) since my Mom taught me how to at the wee age of 12.
That being said, any other canned goods that I do, I follow a time tested well proven recipe to the letter. Jams, jellies, sauces, meats, etc...
