Great looking pies, Roxy. You can't beat the pies coming off a Kamado style grill with the high temps they can reach.
Now I think I need to go look at some Krogers. I was saving for anothe Egg, but at that price, I might go Akorn....if I can find one. _________________ www.griffinsgrub.wordpress.com |

TBASS. You got to try it. Best pizza you will ever eat. Just dont walk away if you got it cranked..
ICDEDTURKES. Pull the trigger dude.. You wont regret it.
mbellot. Nope, no recipe for dough. As I said, I can get top quality dough made by Italians.. I cant hold a candle to that stuff. I hear the price is dropping fast on these cookers and they are worth the original price IMHO.
Beertooth. Thanks, best I have made at home to date.. Cant wait for the next pizza night.
Toga. Thanks dude. Dont know about perfect but they sure were good none the less.
Griffin. I know you got an egg but if you can find one on sale it is well worth the price.. and the difference in price from an egg buys a lot of meat..!!
1buckie. Thanks my friend.. "Practice, practice and more practice and when you are sick and tired.. even more practice.." Being a cook for a living dont hurt none either. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

It sure was.. I am diggin the veg pizza a lot. It is easy to get a tasty pizza with all sorts of meats on it, but, in my twisted mind, the simple flavours of a few vegetables and herbs are hard to beat.
My wife only had 2 slices of the veg pizza which was fine with me. I didnt make a fuss about her not sharing so as to reinforce for next Pizza night.. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

Nice to see real tomato on the pie.
By only negative comment would be too much edge, not enough center! But I'd be happy to eat the middle of either pie and leave the crusts to those that like them! _________________ Here's a change Robert.

Air freight me a couple of centers and keep the crusts as payment and to lighten the package!
It looked good, I'm just too picky for my own good! _________________ Here's a change Robert.

That is jaw-dropping awesome. *faints*
We've been thinking of getting the Akorn. How you like it so far? Is it comparable to that 'other' famed ceramic cooker? _________________ Mmmmm...... bacon |

Beautiful pies Roxy. Those look like works of art. I got the extended racks a Primo stone not long ago but haven't had the chance to make some pies yet. I think you are jump starting me! _________________ http://kchawgskitchen.blogspot.com/

Looks so great. Do you have problems of the dough sticking to the pizza stone? |

I can't speak for roxy, but I have cooked a few pizzas on the grill using a pizza stone, and have never had an issue with the dough sticking to the stone.
I think as long as the stone is hot, and you don't have anything in your dough that will become "sticky" once heated you should be OK. |

Nope.. just dont have a pizza peel. Worked for 5 years, when I was young, at a pizza joint and we made them on pizza pans.. Old habits are hard to break. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

GF. I am with you my friend. I like some ranch or ceasar dressing to dip the crust in.
Sailor Kenshin. I love the cooker so far.. It works awesome. How it compaired to the ceramic I really cant say as I have only used a Primo once.
k.c.hawg. Get going my friend.. Best pizza you could imagine.
jeepdad. Get going JD.. Tasty stuff.. _________________ Chargriller Akorn
