If you post abusive terms and language about other members in your threads I or Garry will be removing words, sentences, paragraphs, posts, or your membership accounts.

Every body would be better off, minding their P's & Q's when they post, if you can't say anything in a polite way, shut the heck up!

SoEzzy,

We need only one set of moderators and the members should not take it upon themselves to be the forum police this just starts a firefight.

If someone has a problem with another member they should contact you or Garry and not take it on the forum so members jump in and take sides it only causes more hard feelings and future fights.

Just my .02 cent worth which is not much.....

I have had an eye problem and haven't been able to stare at a computer screen the past few days.

This whole uproar could have been avoided if the forum rules were followed in the first place. There are very few rules on this forum. The rule against religious and political discussions is pretty much the only firm rule. I think you can see from this blowup why it's a bad idea.

I occasionally get a complaint from someone about one forum member or another. In most cases when I investigate the complaint all I see is one member expressing an opinion and another disagreeing with it. Lookup the definition of the word "forum".

"A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website."

"a public meeting or assembly for open discussion"

This is a forum primarily for discussion of BBQ and related topics. If you want to discuss politics, or express your political views, or tout how much more patriotic you are than someone else, there are a multitude of places on the web where you can do that.

If you disagree with another member's opinion, then just ignore it. With all the problems facing our country right now, and many of the forum members who have either lost their jobs or their businesses are suffering, it amazes me that anyone gets so worked up over nonsense like an opinion you disagree with on a cooking forum. Before you let your blood pressure escalate maybe you should stop for a moment and review your priorities.

Garry

Another forum that I frequent doesn't have the 'flare ups' this one has. There is an occasional playful jab at politics, but they are lighthearted and no one takes them personnal. And NO ONE looses his/her cool or thinly tries to hide language that should not be there. I say that, remembering full well that I made a slip up on this forum not long ago. Thankfully some one pm'ed me and set me straight-after which I went back to that thread, hung my head and made my humble apology to any who view the thread.
I took that 'test', scored a 2 366666666-so what? I don't take it serious, but a lot of poeple seem to. Life is meant to be enjoyed-lighten up!
