The disk I bought was powder coated.  I just started a fire and burned the S^%T out it while I had a beer. 
Maniac I look forward to seeing some cooks on that work of art.

CB Thanks.....had to try to do something out of parts i had in the shop....i hate to buy stuff
GF thanks again.....wife loved it she said she will get more use out of it than the smoker.....she stir frys every other day.
Awning guy.....i thank you....not as complex as yours...but it will do. she wants to clear it this time...i made her a few other copper things that have turned very nice with patina...the boss has spoken

Sweet build Maniac Im sitting here trying to decide what I want to do with my stand, have it "maybe" made out in my head and you throw that into the mix  I like the looks of that, back to the drawing board
