I am going to try and make some snack sticks , can this be done with the smallest tube on my stuffer(1/2 inch) or do I need something smaller like a jerkey gun that either puts out a flatter strip or thinner in diameter than the stuffer. I am hoping that my stuffer can be used by shooting them out onto a flat surface and then transfered to the dryer racks. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you casing them, or making ground meat jerky sticks? If you're doing the ground jerky, I would think that a 1/2" tube would be a decent size for the sticks. No need to buy a jerky shooter IMO, unless you just want to Wink

Thanks guys. They will be a ground beef stick done with no casing. Guess I will give it a try , and do a small batch to try it. Made plenty of jerkey but wanted to try the ground beef kind for a change. Rather not buy a jerkey gun if I don't have to.
