|
|
I have been working on my first smoker build of a BWS Chubby clone for the past 7 months, a little here a little there and she is finally complete! I have been procrastinating on putting pics up here becuase I have just been too busy but here I go.... I was new to welding and building so there are some imperfections but she cooks just as good as the real deal, (I did a comparison cook lol). Thanks to everyone who has given me advise and insight, I could not have done this without you!
This is the first pic I took of the build back earlier this year, this is the inside frame with the interior skin on the sides and back and the cooking chamber area started..
Another pic of the same...
This pic is of the makeshift frame I made for the waterpan to set in and the channel iron for the heat diverter to slide into
Top sheet on and outside frame started.
Holes cut out and started for side air inlets
Air inlets bracketed with 1" square tubing
Insulation going in...
Exterior skin on
Front view of exterior skin on
Framing the SS doors out of 1" square tubing
SS Doors front view
Mounting doors to smoker
Gaskets on doors
Doors and latches installed.
Thermometer installed
First fire up!
Had to use her in her first competition before castors went on and paint was finished but she did well.
Not the greatest pic, but pained with castors on her ready for the next competition!
Thanks again everyone and I look forward to this winter when the BWS Fatboy clone will start!
God Bless,
