i came across a rottiseri for free so i think im gonna put it in my UDS for chickens,, anyone done this before ???? and how did it work for you ??? im thinking with the bird in constant motion i can turn the heat up to get that crispy smokey skin,,,, yummy Wink also what temp would you run the cooker at to get the skin crispy ?????

Romex I've messed around with rotisseries a lot, I love cooking on one if its out in the open and people can watch the meat slowly spin around.....but all in all they don't make the food taste any better. You get just as good results from throwing the chicken right on the rack, or standing vertically.

Now I'm sure someone will come in a tear a strip off me about how a rotisserie allows the juices to baste the bird bla bla bla....bottom line is I can't tell the difference and its not worth the added effort and one more thing to clean.

Chickens I do at 275-325, but I'd take leg quarters over whole birds any day.
