I built a couple twins beds for a friend out of oak, now his turn.
Backwoods clone with five shelves each 36x24 with 6 inches between.
Frame is 2" (16ga.) and 3" (11 ga.) tubing.
All sheet metal is 16 ga.
Water Pan is made out of 1/2"
Here are some more pictures!!!
Angle for the shelves
Insulation
Doors Hung.
Should get it send to the painters by end of week. Still need to make racks and charcoal basket. _________________ Pair...progress

very nice work! 1/2 inch water pan is/should be definently thick enough! hold heat longer and not just boil immediatlly there for just adding a nice consistant steam! Huh? tell ur friend, Nice Work! _________________ 287Gal RF Project

I'll pass along the complement. Got busy this week, but should get a good day on Sat. and get it finished up except for paint. _________________ Pair...progress

The box is 50 inches tall. Went with the 3 inch so we could use 2 inch for insulation and 1 inch for the air channel to feed the main chamber. My buddy builds farm machinery so he also tends to overkill. _________________ Pair...progress

Looks like your buddy is doing a good job but dang, 1/2" plate for a water pan? Well, you can always use it for a bomb shelter. _________________ The Wild Pig build.

finalized pics with vinyl graphics
12 Briskets, 8 pork butts and one empty shelf. This thing may be too big with 30 sq ft of cooking space.
