Did a dynamite fresh turkey for TDay. Marinated 36hrs in tea w/ salt, honey, brown sugar, garlic, cloves - no cheese cloth. Came out fabulous!

Collected drippings and Sis made the gravey. Toooo smokey!!! Won't do that again. K_C

I still think the best turkey gravy I've found, comes in a jar. Just heat and serve.

Yeah, my smokey drippings got the thumbs down too. Next year I think I'll cook the giblets, neck and some skin trimmings in the oven so I'll have enough drippings for gravy.

But Buster thought those smokey drippings were great poured over his food.

Buster knows what happens when I light the meat machine. It is not quite as bad as the bank drive through. The teller gives him a treat most times. On the rare occasion they are out of treats, he gets all upset.
