I'm always looking for bbq bloggers interested in doing guest blog spots on the finer art of barbecue and grilling. Not so much looking for recipes as differences in style between US regions, KC, Chicago, New York, Texas...and International styles like Brazilian churrascaria, for the upcoming Mardi Gras celebration.

Check out the blog at How-To-Barbeque

Then, if you're interested, shoot me an email:

Welcome to our house!

So where do I go on your blog to promote The Smoke Ring? And I don't mean the links part in the footer, I mean something folks can really get their teeth into, with links back to posts about Briskets and UDS's, as well as grills and chimney starters, with lots of well sized pictures.

How can you help me promote your site on ours!

Or should that be our site on yours?

Come back and give me an answer I'll be pleased to hear or read... you know what I'm talking about.

Oh, and once again let me say, "Welcome to the forums"!

Neither of us is new to this, so you scratch my bacon and I'll tickle your ribs! Find me some people who have followers, know how to write and want to do some guest posts, preferably from the Top 50 list and we can link back to wherever you want...in the articles. May even do something in the masthead...depending on results!

Gonna have to be somethin' real special to get you in my sidebar...

You are, without a doubt, a prolific poster. Maybe I'll write a blog post about all your posts and then you will be on my blog! Thanks for the welcome, and that's a heck of a machine you run!

Hey guys, hang on!

This looks like one of those people that made a killer brisket once and wants to share the ways and knowledge with us! Don't discount him yet!

He MAY have just what we all need to win the next comp! His Name is BUBBAQ! He has to be good!!!!

PLEASE SIR, tell me where to send my money!

On second thought, blow him away... His web site looks like a LOT of the others out there that sell books that are made up of info gleaned from the web!

rqdlischus, I'll say what others have not, move along, not wanted here...

Charlie

Easy there big boy, Shocked lets not scare the public. Laughing He can post on his blog all he wants about me, the sad hard truth is he will never have me there to answer any questions someone might have. I think everyone here knows where my heart and address are. Wink

Smokin Mikes Blog

Today's review; Bubba Q - the self-proclaimed " grilling master" & the web site Smokin' BBQ Pit

I've had the opportunity to visit Bubba Q's blogs, web site, Facebook page, etc. and the underlying theme of them all is "Give me your email address and I'll send you valuable information so that you can barbecue just like Bubba Q". I found that everything else presented lacks much substance and appears to be nothing more than an enticement to join a mailing list or a direction to his web site... where you're further enticed to join the mailing list. His web site is registered under a business name, which is a home remodeling service, so it is assumed that the BBQ profession isn't quite paying the bills. Bubba Q takes the liberty of self-promotion by visiting other barbecue forums and web sites and of course giving participants there direction to his blog or web site. I have yet to find any meaningful contribution to the art of barbecuing other than what can be found in thousands of other places via an internet search. The so called blogs are essentially meaningless drivel to perpetuate his barbecue "business". He has been quoted on his Facebook page as saying "Hey Barbecue Fans, Just went to Google and typed in..."Does Your Barbecue Suck?" and guess who has the Number 1 spot...? God, I love this game!". I can assure you that I can create a posting that says "Does the Smokin' BBQ Pit suck? "and after a few days the search bots will turn this up as the #1 phrase. Here, let's try it....

Does the Smokin BBQ Pit suck?

I'll get back to you shortly and report on this.

Overall my rating for the web site and blog is a dismal 0 stars out of 5. I would have rated it higher but all the self-promotion got in the way. There are too many other more informative resources available that educate the reader towards the art of barbecuing. My suggestion is save your time and go elsewhere for meaningful information.
