Now that You've come this far it's just food and I hope you enjoy it. I wasn't feeling the best Monday at work (cold season) but wanted to make my bride a nice meal so I just buckled down and went for it. Here is the ingredents.

I did put up a Sweet Misquite season instead of the pepper because they are in the smae kind of container. I used Kosher salt, course ground pepper and cumin for the spice. Here is all the goodies ready for the disc.

I cubed up one of the pork steaks to cook with the veggies and that made for meat in every bite. I can't really tell you how much of this or that because I just season and add by look and smell. I got the disc warmed and cleaned from the french toast. It'smelled just like breakfast all over again. A little oil and the pork starts to sizzle.

I'm going to fab a new stand and probably one for whitey also because I'm quite a distance from the flame and have the gas almost wide open.

I won't let that stop me though and browned the steaks and set them on the rim while I soften the veggies.

I love how butter adds flavor to satue so down goes a tablespoon or so. I put the onions in first and then the peppers and then the rest of the goodies just to release their flavors. And it diid smell great.

Well it's all looking really good and I think it's time to add the Long Grain Brown rice. This mixture has all the colors I was looking for.

I browned the rice a little more before putting the water in and it really helped to incorporate everything. Now for a little garnish on top and then bed the steaks.

Now it's time to put the lid on and try to walk away for 45 minutes like the rice bag said to. NO PEEKING! I did go out and feel the disc just to make sure It was warm enought. The wind was blowing so I had to erect a blocker.

Second time out to have a temperature check and as soon as I got out the door it was smelling wonderful. I captured this bubbling from under the lid. Oh boy I better get some plates ready as it only has about 10 minutes left.

Well there was no disapointments when we removed the lid. I even took up biting my nail and gave it 5 more minutes then it called for. The aroma of this dish is probably still wafting threw out the hood and Laura really enjoyed me cooking for her.

Well here is our meals plated with a little Sweet Heart juice to go with.

The disc is going to be an easy clean as there was nothing stuck to it and the rice was done to prefection. We are already talking about the next time we entertain and cooking this again. I won't change a thing.

Plus we ended with a bowl of leftovers. You know that's going to make some great lunches.
