Smoking some wings for the chiefs game tomorrow. Will be in line @ Arrowhead @ 7 am, so have to smoke 'em today and finish on the grill @ the tail gate tomorrow.

Marinated in Paul Newman's Olive oil and Vinegar dressing overnight, sprinkled with rub, ready to go on smoker.

Quick welding blanket mod on the smoke box for the middle teen temps today.

Part way there. mopped w/ Frank's red hot (read that on another wing post on here) a few times during cooking.

Steamy goodness

Cooked a few of them all the way through for a "test" taste, man were they good! The mopping during smoking w/ Frank's was key, very nice heat to go with the marinade/rub/smoke and no need to cover with sauce tommorow. Grill 'em and eat 'em!
Very happy for my first shot @ smoking wings, I've done the baked wings w/ buffalo sauce etc, but was never happy with the results. I love the way these turned out, crispy on the outside and moist meat inside.

Nice looking Flappers there Racin Que!...........My favorite part of the chicken. If we weren't going to a wrestling tournament tomorrow, I'd have to give those a shot.

Well, thankfully the tailgate went better than the game!
Russ brought some 3" thick bone in ribeyes wet aged for 8 weeks. Brad had herb rubbed beef tenderloin, and we grilled and munched on the wings for an appetizer. Also did proscuitto wrapped scallops w/ a rosemarry skewer, they were delicious. What a blast!

Setup in line to get in @ 7 am

Tents setup and ready to rock @ Arrowhead parking lot

4 Grills and a fire pit going!

Full bar in the back tent

Scallops

Wings

Ribeyes

Tenderloins

Sausage

Smoked pears
