I have texture issues with tofu

A Taste of Thai brand makes an acceptable sauce out of the bottle and it is available widely in supermarkets.

sorry man i didn't mean anything personal. i myself had preconceived notions about Tofu. my texture issue is with plastic spoons and using them to eat hot oily or liquid foods it F N creeps me out (thinking about it gives me goose bumps) Confused

+1 one on the taste of Thai i have used it with good results

awesome looking pad thai

there are so many variations of pad thai that there is no wrong way to make it. some use cilantro(i dont cant stand the stuff)..i make it with imitation fish sauce and everything but shrimp for my mom who is allergic to shellfish..for myself, i like it all ways.

i eat pad thai once or twice a week..if its not pad thai then its Peanut Thai...heck i made made thai peanut shrimp egg rolls tonight.lol

as for tofu, it took me along time to get use to it as well...you use the extra firm and its the way to go IMHO. the firm and softer has a texture that i dont care for either

heres some eggrolls to go with your pad thai Very Happy

Bams, the Pad Thai egg rolls look killer! Please post up your recipe for the peanut sauce. I've been trying to perfect mine for months and it's just not coming out right...

the biggest thing about good peanut sauce is that its starts from using peanuts and not peanut butter...natural peanut butter works as well...when they make the other kind, they take out all the good oils and put sugar back in.

also there is a difference in Thai peanut sauce and Vietnamese peanut sauce.

my basic Vietnamese sauce
1/2 cup natural-style creamy peanut butter(crunch if you wish)
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 small garlic clove, mashed to a paste
1 teaspoon chile-garlic paste
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
Juice of 1 lime
1/4 cup water
splash of sherry wine
you can add black or white sesame seeds if desired

microwave and keep mixing it up.

mine sucks too so i gotta use the bottled stuff...i only buy it when on sale
