I see that there are a few around the country and there's one here in Charlotte I was going to try. Just wondering if anybody had any experiences there? Info on the Charlotte one would be best. |

I've been to a couple in AL (my parents have a house on a lake in Central Alabama). Food was pretty good, but on the expensive side. This was also before I got into smoking my own ribs and pork at home, though, so my opinion may very well differ on the quality of the food next time. |

We have gone 2 different times (South Charlotte) first visit was plain bad we had gift certificates and all got pulled pork sammies very dry no real smoke, second time around much much better kids got pp sammies, wife got chicken and I did a combo plate with ribs and brisket, I sampled everything and it was like night and day compared to our first visit.
It's definitely more expensive but that's Charlotte... fair prices and good eats don't marry |

I went to Jim and Nicks in Destin FL earlier this year and wasn't impressed at all. The spare ribs were very "hammy". _________________ Andy

They catered our parish weekend @ Camp McDowell in Central AL two years ago. 200+ people.
Pulled Pork. Very good. Beans were awesome. Very well organized. |

I've eaten at their location in the Nashville area and it was fairly good. I'll go back when I'm in the neighborhood. _________________ Scooter

Eaten at the one in Birmingham, one just outside Montgomery and the one in Destin. Enjoyed all three...good "Q". _________________ "Roll Tide Roll" |

Many years ago in Birmingham. I thought it was good then, but that was about the same time I began my own BBQ journey, so my opinion might be 100% different today. |

I ate at one in Montgomery, AL, about 3-4 months after they opened.
Nasty. Some of the nastiest sides I've ever had...tater salad obviously out of a plastic tub and the corn was tasteless and cold.
Don't remember what the pulled pork was like, doesn't matter.
It's very, very tough to get me in a BBQ restaurant. Even tougher to get me to come back. It amazes me at the lack of effort put into sides at a BBQ joint. Does it really take that much time to chop a couple of onions and squirt some mustard and throw some brown sugar in some beans? |

I've eaten at both the Pratville, AL and East Montgomery locations recently. The BBQ is consitently good, but not great. It's better than many others, but not the best. |

Hiram and Smyrna, Ga. Wasn't bad. Liked the creamy Mac and cheese. _________________ I have no idea what I'm doing.

Better than Bennet's... Then again it would be hard to be worse than that place... |

My last trip to the East Montgomery location was better than previous trips. |
