I opted to go with an iced tea dispenser from Coca Cola on the trailer. The only problem is that since all the water on the trailer comes from a water hose and that water mixes with the syrup for the tea, then the tea has that water hose taste. Does anyone have this problem and know of a way to possibly filter the water coming into the trailer or the machine or any other solution?

where you getting that water from anyways.....is it potable water? Do you have a back flow preventer on that hose? Has the water supply being approved by your Health dept.

You can buy the two filter system from any hardware store and install it on a wall....one is a carbon filter and the other is a plain filter.....the carbon filter will take out a bit of the taste.....dont look for any speed on it.

Can't you buy 5Gal water jugs?there water is filtered and UV-ed and... wal mart has them, and most of the grocery stores have a set-up where you can buy or bring your own jugs and fill them for like two dollars.

Not sure how to put the previous posted responses in my message that I am responding to...that said BBQ on Ice, it's a fully HD approved concession trailer with all the neccesary requirements fulfilled. Does this two filter system tap into your existing water lines because the iced tea machine comes right from my cold water line.

Wish I could help but I have never had a problem with water hose taste when using the white water hose as required by HD. The problem may be with the new tea equipment not the water.

Make sure you're using Luzianne tea. Then you have less variables to worry about causing off flavors. Wink

you can plumb this filter right after the water enters the trailer so all water goes through the filter system.

I'm pretty sure you can buy hose that will not give you the hose taste. They use them on rv's and what not.

Went to my local RV dealership and they set me up with a filter that goes right between the spicket (sp) of the house and the potable water hose that feeds the trailer. All for around 60 bucks... I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the advice
