I have a large, dying crabapple tree in my backyard. Is it's wood similar to the eatin' kind of apple trees? My neighbor said you could use it but you would get a fishy flavor! I gave him a beer and told him to shut up!

I used an entire crabapple tree and it was great!
Wish I had more.
Beer, I have plenty of.

Yeah, it's been Brrrr for the past few weeks. New Years Eve Springfield xd.40 and I smoked two briskets, three pork shoulders, ABTS, two turkeys and two racks of ribs in temps hovering just below 0! They say we will be warming up next week, Yay!!! Of course I am psycho because when I lived in Harlingen TX I missed this weather!!!!
