I just joined and look forward to tapping into this resource.

My first smoker - Brinkman Beginner Home Depot Model - has finally rusted out. YES! Now that I think I know how to cook - I'm ready to upgrade to my first big boy smoker. In the shopping process now.

I live in Lewisville, Texas.

I'm shopping for a new smoker. Looking at 20 inch with square fire box. 20 inch by 42 inch cooking area. I am interested in one that has a vertical square cold smoke box with 2 smoke stacks on the left side. Do you think that is a waste of space? Not sure if I'll ever smoke enough cheese and sausage to make it worth while. Other uses for that box?
