The $200.00 easyups are the 1's to get. They can take being blown across a huge field and still work.
I Know that is Sad to say. Shocked

Tie them down!!
Nothing like damaging 30 cars with Your tent and telling these people "Your Sorry"
It didnt get that bad! Shocked

i "found" an EZ-UP at Milwaukee's "River Rhythms" when a local car dealer sent a kid to do a salesman's job... Milw's RR is a summertime weekly outdoor free concert on the banks of the Milwaukee River and this particular evening it started raining Webers and Brinkmans... Razz
Anyway... anyone near this EZ-UP ran for cover and I was one of them.
long story short...
The kid did not like being under a tent with "older" people and said he needed to go and the pop-up was going with him.
I told him go but leave the EZ-UP here for 50 bucks... he did.
That was four years ago at least...maybe six...
Use it for the annual Town of Raymond Independence Day parade to cover grandma & grandpa from the sun (and keep the coolered beer from the heat) ... but now, I've used it twice during a heavy rain while smokin' ribs and I could use it in the winter months during unexpected snow storms . . .

If you are caught speeding in DC they give you Redskin tickets... second offense they make you go to the game.

Fed Ex field is now a tornado shelter... no touch downs there.

NCBBQFAN- Jeepdad must be from the eastern part of the state if he still claims the deadskins. Those guys around Raleigh just won't make the change. I'm not sure if it's out of allegiance for the skins or the fact that folks in the eastern part of the state can't pull for a team from Charlotte. Either way, I'll take the Panthers over the deadskins any day of the week.

If you can use something that is permanent and very sturdy you can build a tarp canopy about any size you need and that will last along time.
Heres the one I built. I also have sides and end zipper doors.(NOT IN PIC)

Those look and work great for about the first year or two...depending on your weather. Unless you plan to remove the tarp every fall.

The weather (wind, snow, etc) does not do them justice.

The tarp canopy I built will hold up along time but the bunges need to be replaced about once a year maybe some of them more often, and tarp about every two I would think, The valance top tarp is only $40 so thats no big deal and bunges are reasonable. The post (1 5/8 16ga) however are about four times stronger than the easy pop up type its not going to blow over the way I got it ancord down and no polls or supports to bend. Also I'm going to add extra supports in the roof for snow, but its a good ideal to keep the snow brushed off.
