We just got confirmation for our areas Christmas Harley Davidson toy run.

The biggest dealership in our area sponsors the event, and will also provide volunteers to help serve.

Portion control cups will be used to prevent serving overages (a killer for an event this sized).

Menu is:

Pulled Pork Sammie, Baked Beans, Fresh Coleslaw.

All dry goods and BBQ sauce.

Should be fun! Cool

Lemme know when and where it is, and if I'm not working, you've got some free help. Robyn is also willing to help, if you need it.

We have something similar in our area and it is pretty big also but the sponsors have never wanted to PAY for food. They always call (every year) asking us to be a vendor for this.... Shocked Shocked

My price for this "good cause" would be about $10 and no gratuity so it would wind up being a discount of $6.46 per person and they STILL don't want to pay that.. Shocked

What do you charge for yours?

Thanks Phil, send me a PM with your phone #.

Would greatly appreciate the extra help.

$3.85 a person Marv (thus the much appreciated above offer). Shocked

I MIGHT be willing/able to offer 1/2 chicken and those two sides @ $3.85 a person but not pulled pork. But even then I would have to be talked into it.. Laughing Laughing

It's a charity event for a good cause Marv.

No, it's not a money maker.

But it is a nice way to give back to the community and advertise our catering service to a group that can both afford it, and that typically enjoys good BBQ.

We used to call it the "Four B's". Beer, bikes, babes, and BBQ. What else is there!? Wink Razz

The lady that owns the dealership pays for the police escort for the ride route, all the food, and other ancillary expenses out of her own pocket.

It's also a sizable write-off.

Not quite a ton Dan, but it is a lot of meat.

I have a provision to provide extra if needed, so I'll probably cook up 800 pounds of meat.

Mike that is raw weight? Man that is a lot of pulled pork. Sounds like a logistics nightmare. Good luck. If I were in the area I would lend you a hand but all I can say is I am with you in spirit. Good luck and God bless you.

That would be raw weight Jim. Shocked

I'll have enough extra for another 300 sammies if needed.
