I just bought a Lodge DO off of Craigslist for $25. I am not sure what size it is as there was no pic. When I talk to the lady she said it has a lid and wire handle with a "10" on the bottom. The bottom is flat, no legs. Which is fine. I can use this on my stove (regular burners, not gas) right? As well as in the oven?

Would it be a 4 qt?

I should have mentioned I am having my brother pick it up in the Seattle area and bring it to me next time he comes up.

The 10 stamped in it refers to 10" diameter.

The 10" is listed as 5 quart. Good deal anyway you look at it. You should not have any problem using it over gas. I use my 12" on a propane burner all the time, just make sure the burner has a flat, level base.

Hey Whitey! Smile

I haven't even seen it yet. Embarassed The lady I talked to in Everett described it to me and I bought it. My brother is gonna pick it up for me on Monday and bring it next time he comes up.

I just cooked some homemade chili (for the second time ever) yesterday. I am hoping the new DO is at least 5 qt so I can do chili in it. Very Happy

It does! I just got a glimpse of it from him after he picked it up tonight. Flat bottom with "lid nipples". Very Happy

This is only my second DO. So the "lid nipples" are for kinda a self basting feature?
