are any of you familiear with these? they basically look like an old withces brew pot. I would love to find one of these for stews and such. The few that I have found have been pricey

As there are a couple of places that I found them, but without information about the sizes etc, you might take a look at the jambalaya pots http://www.barbecueoutdoorgrills.com/jambalaya-pots/

Here the #3 costs $119 http://www.southafricanshop.co.uk/catalog.do?categoryName=Potjie%20Pots but the transportation from the UK may kill the deal.
