BBQ SLIDERS????

Get SMALL rolls/buns and add meat of choice and sell for $3.00 each or 2/$5.00.

Wouldn't take much meat to make a slider and I am betting in MOST cases, would sell at least 2 at a time....maybe more???

It'll work just fine.

Back home in North Carolina nearly every bbq joint sells sandwiches for $3-$3.50

They are pretty small...like a 3" bun. BBQ in NC is pork and you'll get it with slaw unless you ask for no slaw.

It's a standard thin there...don't see why it wouldn't work elsewhere.

When (and at this point, "IF") I get my little place opened up I will be offering a small $3.50 swch as well as a larger offering. In this economy I think it's just a good idea.

Herman, I saw your veggie list on the other thread. Very few restaurants actually sell rutabagas. Are you with Strickland Dail?

I'm Strickland and Dail's worst nightmare-just kidding but we are head to head competitors about 2 miles apart-she is more of a fine dining and I'm more redneck with paper plates and cups-I would guess that I probably serve twice the plates per day that she does because I am open for supper(dinner)and she does not.

The Q joints up here sell sets of 3 sliders. One beef brisket, one pulled pork, and the other pulled chicken. I love it, because you get to try all three meats.

Gotcha, Herman. I never visited their "new" setup in Snow Hill. I'm familiar with their old location out in the middle of BumFartinEgypt.

I grew up down the road in a community called Patetown (just NW of Saulston)...you might be familiar.

Marv I'm catering an event Tuesday night with these. 3" buns with pulled pork. Buns are 17 cents each from Sysco. I'm thinking 2-3 ounces tops and then topped with cole slaw.
