Your welcome BabyHuey, If it works as good as it looks it'll be a top notch cooker! Very nice fabrication work there. _________________ Homemade offset smoker 24"x48"

Build is looking awesome! Great work. I am starting a build myself and was wondering what the size of the horizontal was. |

Finally got some time to work on the pit. I still have to season it, but other than that it is done(I HOPE). I am really looking forward to seasoning it Friday and Cooking Saturday.
I added a grate and log warming shelf to the firebox
Added a burner in a slide out drawer under the vertical cooking chamber. Suprisingly this was able to hold 75lbs worth of lead shot no problem
This is where I added my propane storage and where my sink cabinet will be. I found some pretty used aluminum deck plate and plan to build my sink cabinet out of that.
Here is the sink set up.
Wash inside and out
More to come............ _________________ God Bless the "Q" and the People who eat it.... Amen!

Baby Huey your build job came out great looking.
I see your (I think your cold water tank) did you
put a hot water tank on your pit also.
Baby Huey I need to know if the paint was Stilwell red
our just red paint
Always like looking at pits that are pained red.
I will say on my next pit I am going with maybe a new color ???
Stilwell red Chuck |

BabyHuey, you my friend are an artist of steel. That cooker is a work of art I can see a lot of labor and love went into that build. Very nice job |

Chuck, Here are some pictures of the latch on my door.
I tacked the latch together and closed the door to try it out. One of the tacks broke and I almost never got it open again, I thought I was going to have to cut the door off. it finally came loose and opened
now that it is welded and fit, it does work very well.
