After trimming a bunch of spares down to St. Louis style, I have a lot of tips and small pork flaps I would like to smoke.

What kind of container do you put them in for smoking? Probably won't take too long to cook them up compared to an entire rib slab?

I marinate them, put some metal window screening on the grill grate, then make up a candy coating of butter and real maple syrup and cook for 2 hours...looks like this:
