When I signed up on the Smoke Ring a couple years ago, I was looking to get into competitions and was trying to come up with a team name. At that time, the best I could come up with for some reason was WoooDoggy's BBQ. My first years membership with KCBS had this team name, and that is the name on all the Bullsheets I received that first year.

Since then, I have adopted a new name, and an alter-ego (OK, not so much an alter ego as a split personality), and now am registered as Mad BBQ Scientist. I guess I could change my screen name, but am not sure how important that is.

I did one competition that first year, and took last year off of BBQ entirely for a very strict diet. I'm back now, and already signed up for the Great American BBQ in Kansas City on Memorial Day weekend. If any other Smoke Ring members are gonna be there, I sure would like to meet ya! Cool

Roadkill Bill.
I used to cook lunch for the crew at our skeet club in Ca. We had one really obnoxious member, every time I cooked he'd whine "Whats in that, mister?". One day I got tired of it and told him I was stewing a coyote that I scraped off the highway. One of the other regulars heard the whole thing, and named me Roadkill Bill. He even had a ballcap made up with the name on it. The name stuck, been using it for a lotta years now.

Satch, as in legendary guitarist Joe Satriani. If you've never heard anything of his, I'd reccommend checking him out.

At times you can catch me on my gaming tag: BiotSavart. Anyone who can tell me what that name means with out googling (or wikipediaing) it, (and I'll know if you did) I'll offer one rack of babybacks smoked to your liking =]

I was screwing around on the Ohio BMV website looking at vanity plates since it was renewal time and my old ones were rusty. Everybody has called me Jimmie all my life. Would you believe the vanity plate "JIMMIE" was available? I just had to get it!

So my Ohio license plate is "JIMMIE".

My name came from a combination of lack of creativity and my ambition to provide awnings and patio covers for the world.

The avatar doesn't fit with smok'in but a dog with grapes that big needs to be posted.
