I'm entered ib a local non-sanctioned cookoff next month and the catagories are Ribs, Chicken, Chicken Wings and Hamburger patties.
I've got my ribs and chicken to the point where I'm satisfied that I can do well but I want to really knock their socks off with the hamburger patty. I've got my new meat grinder and had thought of grinding my own hamburger meat. My idea is to cut the meat into squares and add rub then grind along with maybe 1/4 pork. I'm looking for suggestions if anyone has ideas, I'm open for anything.
Also, what cut of beef should I use, Chuck,Sirloin, Brisket etc..
