I have a Kenmore vertical gas smoker (comparitable to the Great Outdoors smoker)
The smoker seems to be doing pretty good at holding temp at the 225 to 250 range, but the smoke is inconsistant.

I'm using a Kenmore Vertical gas smoker and use a combination of wet and dry wood chips in the chip box.
Mine seems to smoke best above 250, if it starts to cool off 235-240 range it won't smoke that ... |

I had the same question. I just don't trust the thermometer on the door of my smoker.
So if I use my analog thermometer from my turkey frier that should work to? (as far as smoke temps go) |
