That should work just fine.. Basically let the bark get good and set in the stickburner and transfer it for an easier finish and a happy wife..

200 really limits your choices of manufactured cookers.. Even bumping that budget to 300 opens up alot of other avenues.

What about the Brinkman Trailmaster Vertical? Seems like it would automatically solve some of the issues with the smaller horizontal offsets.

I chose a Maverick PT 100 over the Thermapen I am very satisfied with it.. They run 80-100 dollars normally but I have seen them around 50 on Amazon.
