I use the juice from my ribs (apple juice, rib juice and rub) to mix with BBQ sauce. I then reduce it to thicken it back up. This is a great way to make a store bought sauce better and more complime ... |

I will chime in on the 'you can get a smoke ring without using charcoal' side. I use a LP gas smoker and wood chips and I have gotten some VERY nice smoke rings without using any charcoal.

The problem is that the URL you are using does not end in an image file extention.
Specifically the "?imgmax=640" part is the problem.

It is tough, if not impossible, to get crispy chicken skin in a 'low and slow' smoker. So, it is not anything you did 'wrong' IMO.
